Bound Angle Pose B
Baddha Konasana B
Bound Angle Pose B folds the torso forward over the joined feet, bringing the forehead toward the floor. The forward fold intensifies the stretch across the inner thighs and adds a gentle release for the spine. Keeping the feet drawn in and the back long lets the fold come from the hips.
Alignment cues
- Keep the soles together and heels close to the pelvis
- Hinge forward from the hips, chest leading
- Lengthen the front body toward the feet, not the crown down
Benefits
- Deepens the hip and groin stretch
- Lengthens the spine in forward fold
- Improves flexibility in the inner thighs
Modifications
- Sit on a folded blanket to ease into the fold
- Keep the spine long rather than rounding forward
