Ear-Pressure Pose
Karnapidasana
Ear-Pressure Pose deepens Plow Pose by bending the knees down beside the ears, folding the spine into a compact ball. It is a strong finishing posture that stretches the spine and shoulders while the knees gently press against the ears, drawing the senses inward. Slow, controlled movement protects the neck throughout.
Alignment cues
- From Plow, bend the knees toward the floor beside the ears
- Keep the weight on the shoulders, not the neck
- Wrap the arms around the shins or clasp behind the back
Benefits
- Deepens the fold begun in Plow Pose
- Stretches the spine and hips
- Encourages an inward, quiet focus
Modifications
- Keep the knees off the ears and hover above the floor if the neck feels compressed
- Support the shoulders with a folded blanket
