Revolved Triangle Pose
Parivrtta Trikonasana
Revolved Triangle Pose is a standing twist over a straight front leg, placing the opposite hand to the floor and reaching the other arm to the sky. It challenges balance and hamstring flexibility while rotating the spine. Squaring the hips before revolving keeps the twist clean.
Alignment cues
- Square the hips toward the straight front leg
- Place the opposite hand outside the front foot
- Revolve the chest open and reach the top arm up
Benefits
- Builds a spinal twist while stretching the hamstrings
- Improves balance and coordination
- Strengthens the legs
Modifications
- Rest the bottom hand on a block for more reach
- Keep a slight bend in the front knee
