Corpse Pose
Savasana
Corpse Pose is the final rest of every practice, lying flat on the back with the arms and legs relaxed and the eyes closed. It allows the body to fully absorb the work of the practice and settle the nervous system into stillness. Though it looks simple, conscious relaxation is a skill that deepens over time.
Alignment cues
- Lie flat, legs relaxed and feet falling open
- Rest the arms slightly away from the body, palms up
- Release all effort and let the breath return to natural
Benefits
